Experience
As Founder and Principal of Innovations for Global Health, LLC (iGH) Gerard focuses primarily on supporting innovative approaches to combatting infectious disease in low-income and emerging markets. iGH uniquely focuses on global health issues alone, and offers services to clients in the not-for-profit sector including private foundations, impact investment funds and NGOs, based on the belief that there are many opportunities to innovate and save lives – by bridging the gap between the donor community and the manufacturers of essential medicines, vaccines, diagnostics and devices.
Gerard spent more than three years working at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where he supported the HIV, TB and Malaria teams, and worked closely with a range of partners including multi-national corporations, emerging market manufacturers, WHO, UNICEF, GAVI and others. Gerard’s experience includes
- commercial planning for Merck’s HPV and HIV vaccines
