David Avitabile’s experience in sexual and reproductive health policy and communications is extensive and includes coordinating a Parliamentary communications strategy to increase NHS funding for new medicines to treat HIV. He has also managed global communications initiatives for Merck (MSD) to support global access to HIV medicines.
In addition to pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, David has extensive experience in therapeutics, diagnostics, precision medicine, medical devices and medical technology. He has launched a number of new products and has contributed to global product communications and commercialisation teams for clients in the United States and Europe.
David has more than 25 years of experience in strategic communications, including senior-level roles at multinational communications companies in Europe and the United States.
David’s public relations experience includes leadership roles working in the US and Europe. At interSCIENCE, a global healthcare communications agency with offices in London, New York and Washington, David was responsible for building and managing a highly successful client services team in the London office, and developing and implementing international programs for clients including Sanofi, Merck (MSD) and AstraZeneca.
